A few years ago, Rick Ross’ stock significantly rose when Reebok signed him to a sponsorship. Seeing the work he has done for his Maybach Music roster, Rick Ross is a master promoter. Rick Ross has helped boost Reebok’s product, but has had a negative impact on the company in recent weeks.
Recently, Rick Ross got into a bit of trouble over his appearance on Rocko’s new single, “U.E.N.O.,” with Future. The single has done fairly well, but is receiving quite a bit of attention in recent weeks. Rick Ross raps about slipping a Molly into the champagne of an unknowing woman, which caused a backlash.
Despite his apologies, Rick Ross has faced protests and his sponsors have to. Apparently, it is too much on Reebok, as they are no longer standing by Rick Ross. Instead, this afternoon, they revealed they have dropped Rick Ross from their roster. A spokesperson for Reebok released a statement on the situation to TMZ.

“Reebok holds our partners to a high standard, and we expect them to live up to the values of our brand. Unfortunately, Rick Ross has failed to do so. While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse.”
