Six years ago, Rich Boy burst onto the scene, putting Alabama hip hop on the map, with his “Throw Some Ds” single. A commercial success, Rich Boy had all he makings of the next major star in the game. Rich Boy was signed to Polow Da Don’s record label, backed by Interscope Records and was label-mates with Keri Hilson.

In the midst of his career going to the next level, Rich Boy backed away from the top of the game. There were rumors of a sophomore album from Rich Boy from 2007 through 2009, but the album never came. Soon, Rich Boy was forgotten and then removed from the roster of Interscope Records.

Today, however, Rich Boy has returned with his sophomore album, Break the Pot. An independent artist, now, Rich Boy is signed to eOne Music. Break the Pot came out earlier today, Rich Boy did an album day interview about the album that goes along with his official photo shoot.
