Nicki Minaj talks “High School” video with Lil Wayne with MTV News [VIDEO]

Living out all of her dreams, Nicki Minaj took it back to her high school days with her popular single, “High School.” One of the new singles off her The Re-Up album, Nicki Minaj featured her label boss, Lil Wayne, on the track. Though the song is called “High School,” it actually has nothing to do with actual high school.

However, “High School” is the latest in a series of hit singles Nicki Minaj has released. Expanding well beyond hip hop, Nicki Minaj has become one of the biggest names in entertainment. Men around the world are still picking their tongues up off the floor after watching Nicki Minaj in the music video for “Freaks” with French Montana.

Nicki Minaj invited MTV News into her Los Angeles studio where she conducted a brief interview before premiering the “High School” video. Acknowledging the song not actually being about high school, Nicki Minaj was asked how her high school self would feel about her now. Candid, as usual, the Young Money emcee offered her take on the situation.
