Last spring, Nas finally got things in gear to prepare for the Life is Good release. After a solid buildup in 2011, Nas failed to deliver the album. Taking time off from the game, not many expected Nas to once again delay Life is Good, but instead, they were presented one of the best albums of 2012.
Coming into 2013, Nas received an honor from CNN as the “best lyricist ever.” Of course, Nas could not openly accept this distinction. But, during this period of time, Nas did reveal he had more music in store. Saying the energy from Life is Good was strong, he could not leave it bottled up.
While Nas’ statements did not quite confirm a new album, his recent Twitter update virtually did. Not only did Nas announce an upcoming album, he also revealed he was ready to reveal a title. It was last April when Nas released “Daughters,” which helped to re-establish his name.
