Torae breaks down “Admission of Guilt” on FUSE TV [VIDEO]

Fresh off the release of his Admission of Guilt mixtape, Torae remains in the few number of new generation rappers who speak on social issues. Leading up to the release of the mixtape, Torae dropped several well-received songs. Recently, Torae released his new mixtape, Admission of Guilt.

More impressive than Torae’s lyrics is his lack of a record deal. Not too long ago, rappers were focused on landing a record deal. Now, most rappers simply releasing mixtapes and street albums on the internet. Kendrick Lamar is currently the prototype when it comes to how to land a record deal in the 2010s.

Torae is the center of attention, however. With his Admission of Guilt mixtape out, the project has been critically praised. Making his rounds in promotion of Admission of Guilt, Torae talked to FUSE TV about the new project and him being an unsigned artist and not particularly looking for a deal.
