A lot of emphasis is currently being placed on the North Carolina hip hop scene. Under the radar, North Carolina has played a part in mainstream hip hop for some time now. In the form of producer/rapper, 9th Wonder, North Carolina has influenced hip hop for well over a decade.
Of course, J. Cole is dominating the mainstream for North Carolina, but Jae Bell is one of the most-popular rappers in the streets. Though he is major, locally, Jae Bell has international appeal. His “IDGAF” single with Cognac Gunna is doing well and picking up momentum.
Preemo has been on a roll, as of late, and is working on his Unknown 2 Undisputed mixtape. The project will be an exclusive release through Hip Hop Vibe and the first single off the mixtape has already been released. Now, fans should expect to hear “IDGAF” by Jae Bell and Cognac Gunna to be featured on the tape.
