Family of Emmett Till issues another message to Lil Wayne, this one over health scare

Though Emmett Till died in 1955, he is playing a pivotal role in the events going on today. Yes, the goal is to remember those who opened doors in the past. Had it not been for Emmett Till and other figures during the Civil Rights era, there would be no hip hop as it is presently known to the world.

Lil Wayne returned Emmett Till to relevance when he appeared on Future’s “Karate Chop” single. While talking about performing a sexual act, Lil Wayne referenced doing an action comparable to how Emmett Till brutally died. Emmett Till’s family called Lil Wayne out several times to no response.

With Lil Wayne’s recent health scare, Emmett Till’s family has decided to reach out to the controversial rapper. Along with the rest of the world, the Emmett Till estate was aware of the ongoing situation of Lil Wayne in Los Angeles. Because of this, the Mamie Till Mobley Memorial Foundation released a Facebook status in regards to Lil Wayne.
