How situations are handled determine the outcome. Things had the potential to become very nasty between Sway Calloway and Kanye West during MTV’s “Hottest MCs in the Game” countdown. Placed at number seven on the popular list, Kanye West took offense and called Sway out, telling the world he gave him his first TV.
Working in the media and befriending the talent can be like walking a tightrope. However, Sway did not get where he is today by being nervous. Instead, Sway laughed it off and said Kanye West forgot to give him the remote. On “RapFix Live,” Sway had the TV, ‘Sharpeezy,’ as a guest and the entire situation played out.
Earlier today, Sway Calloway went to Austin, Texas for SXSW 2013. Sharp, the television brand, and their social AOR ROKKAN were following the ongoing story. When Sway landed in Texas, they greeted him and gave him a new flatscreen Sharp to replace his longtime companion, ‘Sharpeezy,’ live on his Shade 45 show, “Sway in the Morning.”
