Some may feel the time has come and passed for Fabolous to take over the game the way he has warned for a few years now. However, Fabolous feels as though the timing is just right. There is a new era of New York hip hop and many new rappers rising to the occasion, Fabolous simply plans to play elder statesman.
Recently, Los Angeles’ hip hop scene has produced countless stars. Kendrick Lamar is easily at the top of the list, but there are many more. Out West, Game plays the role of elder statesman and Fabolous could play a similar role on the East Coast with the amount of rising rappers.
When Fabolous was in Los Angeles, he had quite a bit to talk about. In Houston, along with Jay-Z and others, Fabolous partied with Michael Jordan. Fabolous talked about this with Power 106, along with MTV’s “Hottest MCs in the Game,” and upcoming collaborations with Rick Ross, Future, and hopefully Nas and Kendrick Lamar.
