Trunk Music ReturnsBy The Hip Hop Writer

Whether or not he is still signed to Eminem’s Shady Records, Yelawolf continued to deliver heat. A native of Alabama, Yelawolf made himself the hottest rapper in the area through his mixtapes. A similar vocal pattern to Eminem earned Yelawolf the title ‘Eminem of the South.’

By 2010, Yelawolf had gained national fame off his mixtapes. His voice sounding so much like Eminem’s and being all over the placed led to destiny stepping in. Eminem found himself in need of expanding his roster. Along with signing Slaughterhouse, Em also added Yelawolf.

Releasing his debut album, Radioactive, though Shady Records, Yelawolf has since returned to the mixtape scene. However, Yelawolf has faced a bit of opposition when it comes to putting another album out. Returning to what he knows, Yelawolf is preparing his Trunk Music Returns mixtape, which is due on March 14.
