Back in October, Hip Hop Vibe questioned if Gucci Mane deserved a legendary status due to his mixtape work. This question received mixed reviews, but Gucci Mane has dominated the mixtape game. Gucci Mane has released countless mixtapes, averaging five mixtapes a year and he appears on many others.

The release of Gucci Mane’s initial Trap God mixtape caused his feud with Yo Gotti, due to him releasing his CM7: The World is Yours project. Yo Gotti choosing to release his mixtape on October 17 led to Gucci Mane going after his former friend. Gucci Mane has since signed OG Boo Dirty and Young Dolph, other Memphis natives, to his label.

1017 Brick Squad includes a solid roster and is building up in Memphis. On the mixtape scene, Gucci Mane has a strong supporter in DJ Junior. But, Gucci Mane’s latest mixtape is East Atlanta Memphis with Young Dolph. Due on March 15, Gucci Mane also has his solo tape, Trap Back 2, and this summer, his Trap House 3 album is due.
