Originally from South Carolina, Young Scooter has made his country boy dreams into reality. Initially known as an associate of Future’s, Young Scooter has since found a rapping partner in Gucci Mane. Though nothing has been put in writing, Young Scooter looks to be the newest member of 1017 Brick Squad.
Young Scooter has been one of Atlanta’s most-discussed mixtape rappers for some time now. Over the past year, Young Scooter has taken over the mixtape scene with his “Colombia” single. Becoming inescapable on the mixtape circuit, it was only a matter of time before the mainstream radio picked Young Scooter up.
With the hottest single on the radio out, Young Scooter caught the attention of industry heavyweights, Birdman and Rick Ross. Both are friends with Gucci Mane and they reached out to him and ended up on the “Colombia” remix. Two weeks ago, the song came out and the video is underway with photos being released from it.
