As a mixtape rapper, Kirko Bangz took the game over one year ago with his “Drank in My Cup” single. The song led to Kirko Bangz becoming the first breakout artist of 2012, but he would soon be replaced by Ca$h Out, Chief Keef, and Trinidad James. Still, Kirko Bangz has managed to keep himself relevant.
Kirko Bangz recently made a return and he has several new singles out. Before he returned to making his solo music, Kirko Bangz was kept relevant through the “Drank in My Cup” remixes and collaborations with Meek Mill. All of this bought enough time for Kirko Bangz to prepare his official debut album.
While the attention was focused on Houston for the All-Star break, Sway Calloway sat down with Kirko Bangz for “Sway in the Morning.” Kirko Bangz talked to Shade 45 about his upcoming music and his collaborations with Meek Mill, Juicy J, and Wale. During the interview, Kerry Washington also came up along with his singing style.
