In his own right, Gucci Mane has become very iconic through his mixtapes. Even though he has a deal, Gucci Mane proves a deal is not necessary. Gucci Mane’s name has become synonymous with mixtapes and street albums. Despite this, Gucci Mane is now considering a name change.
This morning, Gucci Mane took to his Twitter to make a shocking announcement to his fan base. With two new street albums due on July 2, Gucci Mane revealed he was changing his rap name. The new title Gucci Mane planned for himself was “Guwop,” which was panned by fans.
Fresh off the Free Bricks 2 release with Young Scooter, Gucci Mane is planning his latest mixtape, Trap Back 2. Once Gucci Mane took to Twitter and faced the strongly negative reaction, he began reconsidering ending Gucci Mane after eight years. Instead, Gucci Mane returned to his Twitter and announced “Guwop” would never happen.
