Coming into 2012, it looked as if Houston would follow Atlanta with a hip hop renaissance. With Marcus Manchild and Kirko Bangz leading the way, there was major buildup for the Houston comeback. Both Marcus Manchild and Kirko Bangz are big names, but the hype did not fully come to fruition.
Houston recently was the focal point of the urban entertainment world and this was due to the events surrounding the 2013 NBA All-Star Game. The biggest names in hip hop, including Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Ace Hood, Drake, and DJ Khaled were in town. This placed some attention back on Houston’s own.
Recently, Vlad TV sat down with Kirko Bangz to have a conversation about the entertainment in Houston. In a city known for its strip clubs, Kirko Bangz talked about him dating the dancers. Because he grew up in it, Kirko Bangz said he views the dancers as regular girls.
