Recently, the focus has been on the hip hop scene in Houston. However, the Houston natives have been on the backburner. With the NBA holding the 2013 NBA All-Star Game in Houston, all of the biggest names in hip hop appeared in the city. Artists ranging from the Cash Money artists, Drake, Ace Hood, and Lil Wayne, to Jay-Z, were in town.

Over the past decade, the Houston rapper to have the most commercial success has been, hands down, Chamillionaire. Considered by many to be a “one hit wonder,” Cham went over the top with his “Ridin'” single. The Sound of Revenge, Chamillionaire’s commercial debut album is considered a Southern classic and is a platinum album.

Footage of Chamillionaire appearing on Houston’s Fox 26 previously leaked to the internet. Now, the full video clip has been leaked of Chamillionaire giving Fox 26 an interview. Chamillionaire talked about his Poison album and going independent after leaving Universal Records.
