Excuse My French has face almost as many delays as Dr. Dre’s often-delayed Detox. It looks as if the album is just like tomorrow, always one day away. Last summer was supposed to be when French Montana finally took the game over. Instead, he enjoyed another year of mainstream mixtape success.
New York City, however, is back and it is because of French Montana’s efforts. Now a member of Bad Boy Records, French Montana has helped restore the label to its former glory. In many ways, French Montana has taken over a space which was once occupied by The Notorious B.I.G.
Continuing to delay his album, French Montana told The Source that this latest delay was for a worthy cause. The Notorious B.I.G. has been honored by countless people over the past sixteen years, including Jay-Z. But, French Montana has delayed Excuse My French until May 21, which is The Notorious B.I.G.’s forty-third birthday.
