Time flies when good music is being made. It is hard for many to believe that it has been twenty years since Jermaine Dupri launched So So Def Recordings. In recent years, So So Def has taken a back seat, but it does not diminish the workings of Jermaine Dupri. The label produced many stars in the 1990s and the 2000s.
Much has been said about the current state of So So Def and Jermaine Dupri, here in recent years. Since Jermaine Dupri and So So Def left Def Jam, there have been rumors of financial struggle. Opening doors for many of the biggest names in the game, So So Def continues to command respect in the game.
Jermaine Dupri has overcome everything and his focus is on the upcoming twentieth anniversary of So So Def. A celebratory concert is planned that will feature appearances Da Brat, Bow Wow, Lil Jon, Dem Franchize Boyz, and J-Kwon, along with performances from the other So So Def artists. New So So Def artist, Fresco Kane, will also perform.
