Since 2009, there has been some focus on the Cleveland hip hop scene. It all started when Kid Cudi rose to fame off his “Day ‘n’ Nite” single. Though originally released in 2007, the song became one of 2009’s biggest hits. After Kid Cudi, crosstown rival Machine Gun Kelly, has taken the spotlight and ran with it.

Doe Boy is also in the mix, introduced to the world by Lex Luger. Moving forward, Doe Boy is now a member of Future’s Freebandz Gang. A member of one of hip hop’s fastest-rising crews, the “future” is looking bright for Doe Boy.  The rising success of Doe Boy is a testament to the growth taking place in the Midwest hip hop scene.

Recently, Doe Boy spoke to Ohio radio station, 107.9.  Doe Boy talked about signing with Future’s company and his past work with Chief Keef. Before the fame, Chief Keef was known for his frequent collaborations with Soulja Boy. Ironically, Doe Boy is now working with Soulja Boy, which he also discussed.
