Much truth is behind the phrase “you never know until you try.” This was the case for Yung Ced, who resides in Atlanta. With a knack for making beats, Yung Ced felt it was time to establish himself in the game. Yung Ced did so by reaching out to Spiff TV on Twitter and submitting his beats.
Fast forward into 2013, Yung Ced is one of the most-popular rising producers in the game and is working with everyone from Maybach Music to Juicy J. In addition to working with those figures, Yung Ced is also working with other producers. The biggest current producer in the game, Mike WiLL Made It, is among those producers Yung Ced is working with.
Earlier today, Hip Hop Vibe had the opportunity to talk with Yung Ced. During the interview, Yung Ced detailed how he wound up working with Maybach Music. Yung Ced went on to explain what doors have been opened up since then, which includes him having the chance to meet French Montana.
Read the entire interview below:
How did you end up working with Maybach Music? Basically, I reached out to Spiff TV on Twitter and submitted some beats. He liked the beats that I sent and the rest is history.
What has life been like for you since you began producing for them? It’s been kinda the same right now because I haven’t produced many big records yet. But, I must say that business has picked up for me and a lot of artists want my beats.
Will you be producing on Rick Ross’ Mastermind? I will be producing songs submitted for Rick Ross’ new project and I have produced for Rockie Fresh.
Outside of Maybach Music, you have also worked with Juicy J? Yeah.
What was that experience like? It was good to see what he does with my type of beats. I love seeing what people do with my beats. I haven’t had the chance to get into the studio with him yet, but I like what he did to my beat.
So far, what has been your craziest experience? My craziest experience was last summer when I went to the studio with Mike WiLL. It was crazy to be with them, especially with all the different major people that came into the studio. French Montana was among the people to show up.
Will you be working with French Montana next? Hopefully. I sent him one of my beats and that track is supposed to come out this year. I sent him the track back in November.
Who are some other names you plan to work with? Right now, I am lining stuff up with Future, DJ Khaled, Meek Mill, I have also submitted stuff to Ludacris, Wiz Khalifa, and many others.
How does it feel to be a part of this new generation of producers, along with Billionaire Boyscout, Mike WiLL Made It, Lil Lody, and the others? It’s crazy because this is what you work for and when it happens, it’s crazy. Just being mentioned in that category is big enough.
