Going on two years, Frank Ocean and Chris Brown have been going back and forth. During the summer of 2011, Frank Ocean rose to fame off the success of his “Novacane” single. The track was a prelude to the success Frank Ocean enjoyed, as he also rapped a verse and sang the hook on Tyler, the Creator’s “She.”
Chris Brown enjoyed a comeback in 2011 and shared his success with Frank Ocean, or at least attempted to. When Chris Brown attempted to compliment Frank Ocean on Twitter, the two wound up exchanging insults. Game jumped in the middle and attempted to end this beef, but it was never again mentioned.
Both Frank Ocean and Chris Brown enjoyed continued success in 2012. The two both sang and rapped, meanwhile Frank Ocean came out (sort of). This has not stopped Chris Brown and Frank Ocean from having issues, however. At a Los Angeles studio, Frank Ocean’s crew blocked Chris Brown from leaving and when he went to shake Ocean’s hand and was attacked. The two continued to fight, until they wound up going back and forth, themselves.
