Best-known for being a part of the popular duo, Murs and 9th Wonder, Murs is one of the biggest independent rappers in the game. As much of a backlash as hip hop has endured over the past few years, Murs is considered by many as one of the best rappers ever. Hip hop catches a bad rap for going against its initial meaning, but Murs keeps the game to its roots.
Alternative rap is finally having its time to shine and this moment would not have been possible without such outlets as the Paid Dues Festival. Murs is the face of this annual concert series, which has helped to launch careers. Previously, Kendrick Lamar and the Black Hippy movement were announced as headliners for this festival.
Last night, Murs took to his personal camera to explain how things would go down at the 8th Annual Paid Dues Festival. Taking place at San Bernadino, California on March 30, 2013 at the NOS Events Center, Murs revealed all of who will be performing and tickets are now available for purchase here.
