Apparently, Vado and Gunplay will not be seeing much of each other. Several reports have had Vado being signed to DJ Khaled’s We the Best Music Group. This started when Vado got on Twitter and said he was taking his talents to South Beach and then “#WTB,” a common Twitter phrase for “We the Best.” Regardless, this is not the case.

Vado signed to Interscope Records in 2010, following much hype. Fans were desperate to find a new rapper to represent New York City in the mainstream. After weak sales from Maino and no follow-up, many pinned their hopes on Vado. However, Vado and Interscope Records simply did not work out.

But, the possibility of Vado being a part of Cash Money Records intrigued many hip hop fans. The label already has Jae Millz, Nicki Minaj, and Cory Gunz from New York City. Birdman previously expressed interest in developing Ace Hood and could have had a field day with Vado. But, Vado stopped by Vlad TV to clear the air.
