This week, T.I. grabbed major headlines when his contract with Atlantic Records expired. In many ways, T.I. has been a saving grace for Atlantic Records, as it has been the same for him. Countless hits have come from this union and even hits from others, such as B.G., B.o.B., and Young Dro.
Before T.I. got into legal situations, it appeared likely that he would soon take over as the president of Atlantic Records. So, when T.I.’s contract expired, it looked as if a new deal would easily be reached. But, with T.I. asking for $75 million, things have hit an apparent standstill.
The same day T.I. announced the terms of his next deal, he hit the West Coast and linked up with DJ Skee. Meeting at DJ Skee’s Skee Lodge, T.I. spoke with him for his Hip Hop Nation show on Sirius XM.
