In the spring of 2011, Lil Wayne released “How to Love,” the second official single off his chart-topping Tha Carter IV. Featuring Lil Wayne singing a country tune, he sings about a girl who made the wrong choice in love. There were many who compared the song to his 2009 hit, “Prom Queen.”
“How to Love” hit radio during the summer of 2011 and captured hearts around the world. Throughout 2011 and some parts of 2012, the lyrics from the song made up a number of Facebook and Twitter statuses. While things have cooled off, Lil Wayne is still enjoying the fruits of this song.
Lil Wayne is currently working on I Am Not a Human Being 2, but Tha Carter IV is still making moves. Already, Lil Wayne has earned two platinum plaques for his efforts and now a third is coming. Earlier today, Lil Wayne received word on his “How to Love” single going triple platinum.
