Most have narrowed 2012’s top album down to Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d. city and Nas’ Life is Good. Ironically, Kendrick Lamar has earned comparisons to Nas since releasing this new album. Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar humbly declines these comparisons and praises Nas for having 2012’s best album.
Nas, on the other hand, has been thoroughly impressed with Kendrick Lamar. When anyone asks him who had 2012’s best album, he is quick to mention the rising Los Angeles rapper. Kendrick Lamar is well aware of this and he always shows respect back to the legend, saying he is not on that level yet.
