Mobb Deep quietly was falling apart one year ago. Prodigy, upon being released from prison, began making his media rounds. Writing a book called My Infamous Life, Prodigy wrote about Queens hip hop figures, including Ja Rule and N.O.R.E. Jay-Z was also discussed in the book.
Havoc later revealed Prodigy’s antics were annoying him. First, came Havoc’s Twitter rant, which he denied. Months later, Havoc revealed he really was the Twitter poster and then Mobb Deep took an indefinite break. From the way things seem, Mobb Deep is effectively over, but this is not the case.
When Prodigy talked to PNC Radio, he sang a different tune. In spite of all that happened, Prodigy still says Havoc is his brother. Prodigy went on to say Mobb Deep is far from done and that there will be more albums from the duo. However, Prodigy could not pinpoint a release date for these albums.
