With Los Angeles at the forefront of the rap game, once again, there is a lot to be proud of. The new generation of rappers have shown how the birthplace of gangsta rap has grown over the past few years. After a decade of apparent stagnation, with Game being the only artist to emerge, the West knocked all the doors down.

Tyler, the Creator and Odd Future enjoyed a strong run in 2011. But, Kendrick Lamar ended up stealing the show. Carrying Los Angeles through the remainder of 2011 and into 2012, Kendrick Lamar made his name. Kendrick Lamar signed to Interscope and released his good kid, m.A.A.d. city debut in 2012.

Kid Ink has been doing his thing on the independent scene and RCA Records scooped him up last week. With a new deal, Kid Ink has been making his media rounds, talking about the deal. In the latest interview, Kid Ink talked to Young California about the money he made off the agreement.
