Early in 2010, Waka Flocka Flame emerged as the first star of Gucci Mane’s then, newly-formed 1017 Brick Squad. Previously, Gucci Mane introduced OJ Da Juiceman who enjoyed a breakout hit with “Make Da Trap Say Aye.” OJ Da Juiceman later appeared on Jadakiss’ “Who’s Real,” before disappearing.

Waka Flocka Flame hit the ground running and has since become one of the biggest artists in the game. Brick Squad Monopoly is his label, which houses Frenchie, Yung Joey, and Los Angeles’ Ice Burgandy. Each artist on the label has their own movement and are slowly becoming the next stars in the game.

Peter Bailey had the chance to speak with Waka Flocka Flame for NBC’s “Nitecap.” A controversial artist, at best, Waka Flocka Flame went in on every topic. During the interview, Waka Flocka Flame talked about President Obama, DTE’s Alley Boy and Trouble, Chief Keef, and more.
