All in all, 2012 was a great year for Curren$y, as he released his first official album, his successful The Stoned Immaculate. The album came in the midst of several mixtapes and EPs from Curren$y. Curren$y having success opened doors for the host of other artists from New Orleans gaining fame, outside of Cash Money Records.
More than likely, all of the major albums for 2012 have been released. Leaving the actual holiday season with nothing but soundtracks, several rappers decided to put something together. Wale, Troy Ave, Mike WiLL, Cliff Po, and Curren$y all have mixtapes in store for download on Christmas day.
The name of Curren$y’s new mixtape is called 3 Piece Set and the project follows a long line of projects in 2012 from him. Muscle Car Chronicles, Here…, The1st28, with Styles P, Cigarette Boats, with Harry Fraud, and Jet World Order 2 are among the previous projects from Curren$y. Things will conclude on Christmas with 3 Piece Set.
