Last season, the Miami Heat were the contenders that nobody saw coming. Going through a competitive rebuild, they landed Jimmy Butler, a season after barely making the playoffs. Butler, himself, was an unproven franchise player.
Together, the Heat went on a Cinderella run, to the NBA Finals, highlighted by their upset of the Milwaukee Bucks, in the second round. Taking out MVP Giannis was huge, as they took on LeBron. There, they almost won the title.
The Brooklyn Nets, with Kevin Durant finally in action, have looked to assert themselves as the new power, in the Eastern Conference. Already, he was paired with Kyrie Irving, but the team traded for James Harden. Since this trade, the Nets were winless, until beating the Miami Heat, last night, but fans clown the win, saying they barely beat the Heat, despite Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro being out.
