Many are looking at Denzil Porter as the future of the rap game. As much as trap and party music have dominated hip hop, lyrics have also returned to the game. Denzil Porter is a major reason for this. During his May interview with Hip Hop Vibe, Denzil Porter first mentioned his Porter’s Pot mixtape. Seven months later, Denzil Porter has released the project. The mixtape is NOT hosted by DJ Drama and features comedic stylings by Young Jack Thriller. Denzil Porter gave the mixtape its title because he feels artists do not need a major co-sign to make it in this rap game.
