Reviews were positive for Game on his fifth album, Jesus Piece, but the sales could possibly leave the Los Angeles veteran wanting more. Over the course of his career, nothing but top five albums have come from Game. The music industry has obviously changed, but Game managed only 86,000 copies in his first week of sales.
Despite announcing his fifth studio album early in 2012, Game did not begin focusing on the project until late in the summer. Not counting the “I Remember” track, which features Young Jeezy and Future, Game only has one single out. “Celebration,” featuring the likes of Chris Brown, Tyga, Lil Wayne, and Wiz Khalifa was only a moderate hit.
The sales for Game continue to decrease, as his previous album, The R.E.D. Album debuted at number one. However, sales were sluggish, delivering 98,000 copies in its first week. While Game improved from initial projections for Jesus Piece, he is still down 12,000 copies from his previous LP.
