Bad Boy Records owned the mid-1990s, laying the groundwork with the tales from the late Notorious B.I.G. Mase was brought into the mix in the mid-1990s, with Puff Daddy forcing him to take the pop route. Originally, Mase branded himself as a hardcore rapper, but admitted he was forced to change.

Mase entered the Bad Boy world right before The Notorious B.I.G. was murdered in Los Angeles. While not around each other terribly long, Mase was around long enough to soak up knowledge from B.I.G. Earlier today, Mase admitted he passed this knowledge on to 2 Chainz.

After talking to Sway Calloway at MTV’s “RapFix Live,” Mase spoke with him on his popular Shade 45 show, “Sway in the Morning.” During the first part of the interview, Mase spoke on Biggie and how he reacted after his and Tupac Shakur’s death. In the second part, Mase spoke on why his relationship with Cam’ron and Jim Jones fell apart.
