Hot 97 has come under fire throughout this year for various reasons. Nicki Minaj and the Young Money team took aim at Hot 97, earlier this year. Recently, Hot 97 got into it with independent artists looking for radio play. It was said that the only time independent artists get radio play is during Peter Rosenberg’s late night show.
Ironically, Joey Bada$$ conducted an interview with this show while all of this discussion was going on. Ebro Darden, the program director for Hot 97, would also admit a lot of the artists wanting play are not ready for it. Those comments led to outrage on the internet.
Peter Rosenberg hit directly back at those making those comments. Singling out the staff of RapRadar.com, Peter Rosenberg explained the talent who gets play on his late night show. Offended by some of their statements, Peter Rosenberg also demanded that these people stop insulting his radio show.
