Coming under fire for their apparent lack of support for independent artists, Hot 97 argued about Peter Rosenberg’s late show. New York City is full of underground talent breaking into the mainstream. Last year, during this time, A$AP Rocky emerged and became one of 2012’s breakout stars.
Joey Bada$$ can be compared to A$AP Rocky, in this aspect, as he received a little buzz this year. But, as the year is closing, Joey Bada$$ finds himself picking up more steam. Not only is Joey Bada$$ putting himself on, but he is also opening doors for the entire Pro Era camp.
All of them were in the building for Peter Rosenberg’s show last night. A part of Hot 97’s “Who’s Next” segment, Joey Bada$$ conducted an interview. In addition to the interview, Joey Bada$$ and Pro Era also freestyled. Their freestyles came over old school beats.
