By early 2011, Young Jeezy had become an afterthought. There was much build-up in 2010, surrounding TM103. Even after delivering a hit single, “Lose My Mind,” with Plies, the album still went unreleased. At the time, it seemed as if Young Jeezy was on his way out at Def Jam.

In the spring of 2011, Young Jeezy made headlines when he signed Freddie Gibbs to his label, CTE. Representing Gary, Indiana, Freddie Gibbs was set to introduce hip hop to another side of the Midwest. Freddie Gibbs released several notable mixtapes with CTE since that time, including Baby Face Killa, with DJ Drama.

Next year, Freddie Gibbs intends to release his new album. Freddie Gibbs appeared earlier today on Power 105.1’s “The Breakfast Club.” During the interview, Freddie Gibbs revealed he was still with CTE and spoke on his new label. Freddie Gibbs also spoke on all the posts on Twitter he has been making.
