Eve talks label situation, Stevie J, and Dr. Dre with MTV’s “RapFix Live” [VIDEO]

From 1998 through 2003, Eve was one of the biggest rappers in the game. The first lady of the Ruff Ryders, Eve’s future was bright. At the peak of her music career, Eve branched out into music and acting. Landing a sitcom with UPN, in 2003, Eve’s career reached unexpected heights.

Eve’s self-titled sitcom was abruptly cancelled in 2006 and her Fetish clothing line was discontinued. With her business going through a reorganization period, Eve decided to return to making music. During her first stint, Eve was signed to Interscope Records, so she decided to team up with Dr. Dre, who produced on her last album.

Five years have passed since Eve’s failed comeback attempt. Now, Eve is trying things again, as she spoke with Sway Calloway for MTV’s “RapFix Live.” Eve would discuss her current label situation, along with addressing the rumors regarding her and Stevie J. During the interview, the topic of Dr. Dre and Aftermath Entertainment was also brought up.
