Told numerous times has been the story of Chris Lighty, who started out as a youngster in The Bronx, before becoming a multimillionaire. When it came to making deals in the urban community, no one was bigger. Lighty’s career began when he started carrying crates for DJ Red Alert.
Back in August, Chris Lighty died, shocking the entire hip hop world. With deals with the likes of Kim Kardashian and others, Lighty’s death impacted everyone. There were positive results, with 50 Cent and Fat Joe ending their longtime feud. But, still there is a hole missing in the heart of many.
DJ Red Alert has been mentioned several times since the death of Chris Lighty, but not spoken to. ThisIs50.com reached out to the legend and he spoke to Young Jack Thriller about Chris Lighty. During the interview, DJ Red Alert spoke on his fondest memories of the hip hop mogul.
