Beef is territory 50 Cent is familiar with. Ten years ago, the hip hop world was beginning to learn who 50 Cent was. Aside from being the hardcore rapper working with Eminem and Dr. Dre, he proved to be Ja Rule’s worst nightmare. Ja Rule was on top of the game, at the time, and had more big things in the works.

50 Cent went on to derail Ja Rule’s career and circumstances would lead to his career eventually ending. Soon, Fat Joe, Nas, Jadakiss, Shyne, and Cam’ron would begin feuding with 50 Cent. With each rapper on a decline, 50 Cent claimed to also end their careers, calling his run “the list.”

Rick Ross was immune to “the list” and ended up going against 50 Cent successfully and is now on to Young Jeezy. While French Montana is from New York City and signed to Bad Boy Records, Rick Ross proved to be French’s biggest asset. French Montana went down South to build his buzz and it worked tremendously.

Obviously, French Montana would side with Rick Ross over 50 Cent, if need be. But, French Montana was able to remain civil around the G-Unit Records’ boss. At the 2012 BET Hip Hop Awards, French Montana took a photo with 50 Cent and a few others. But, after he spoke with Complex about 50 Cent’s career decline, French Montana was drawn into the beef. After a few disses, French Montana called 50 Cent a “donkey.” Speaking with Washington, DC personality, Mr. Peter Parker, 50 Cent called French the new Ja Rule.
