Before fans completely gave up on J. Cole ever releasing his debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story came and was one of the highest-rated albums of 2011. Riding the wave of his first LP, J. Cole promised to return with his sophomore project in 2012. However, J. Cole was relatively silent throughout the bulk of this year.

Instead, J. Cole waited until the fourth quarter to unveil his plans for the future. J. Cole announced his sophomore album, Born Sinner, earlier this month. The announcement of the album came with the “Miss America” single. Taking the game over, once again, J. Cole is also making his rounds, set to appear on Fabolous’ next mixtape.

Preparing to return to his spot in the game, J. Cole was recruited by RESPECT, once again gracing their cover. During the interview, J. Cole discussed his upcoming album. The feature, which hits newsstands on November 27, features French Montana, Chief Keef, DJ Drama, and a Chris Lighty tribute.
