In the early 2000s, Cassidy rose to game after signing to Swizz Beatz’ Full Surface label. Cassidy was the latest rapper from Philadelphia, which also boasted State Property and Eve. At a time when the City of Brotherly Love was said to be falling off, Cassidy picked it up. From 2003 through 2005, Cassidy kept things interesting, releasing several hits.

Cassidy reunited with Swizz Beatz in 2007, delivering his third album and his most-recent hit, “Drink N My 2 Step.”
