Fabolous talks “The S.O.U.L. Tape 2” with OnSmash [VIDEO]

Brooklyn’s legend, Fabolous, held New York City down when it was not “in” to be a rapper from the Big Apple. During this time, many predicted Fabolous to be the “next king of New York.” Commercially, this did not happen, but Fabolous helped to evolve the mixtape genre of hip hop.

Before Fabolous, few rappers were treating their mixtapes as albums. Despite the mixtape coming as a free download, Fabolous had professional music videos filmed for his independent releases. Fabolous even pulled big name cameos for his videos, having sex symbol, Amber Rose, star in the “You Be Killin’ ‘Em” music video.

OnSmash is currently producing a series, “Tale of the Tape,” where rappers sit down and discuss their mixtapes. Fabolous is the latest rapper to sit down and conduct an interview about his project. During the interview, Fabolous revealed Joe Budden would appear on his upcoming mixtape, The S.O.U.L. Tape 2.
