One of hip hop’s most-infamous names is Benzino. Many known Benzino best for his history as owner of The Source and his high-profile feud with Eminem. Ironically, Eminem rose to fame through his features in the publication. Ultimately, Benzino using The Source to endorse Ja Rule against 50 Cent would lead to the rise of XXL and G-Unit.

Benzino dealt with a tarnished image for some time, before he ended up reuniting with the founder of The Source, Dave Mays. The two reunited for Hip Hop Weekly, which has become another success for the duo. Staying out of the direct line of fire, Hip Hop Weekly has established itself as one of hip hop’s top sources in only five years.

Outside of the publishing business, Benzino is also recurring on “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.” Earlier this month, Benzino was in Washington, DC, where he had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Peter Parker. Benzino discussed his television role and his background as a publisher in the rap game.
