Most of the power players in the hip hop game are men, however, there are several females also making major moves. At the top of this list would be Sarah J, who has fueled the success of many of hip hop’s biggest figures. A bulk of the credit in the music industry goes to the artists, the producers, and the executives, but often overlooked is the person who connects these people.
Sarah J fills this role and she plays the part very well. During her time in the game, Sarah J has connected the likes of Juicy J, Wale, T.I., French Montana, Young Jeezy, B.o.B., and many others. A great deal of hit records would not have come out the same had it not been for Sarah J’s input. Being this power player has afforded her much clout in the game.
Q the Question recently caught up with Sarah J, speaking to her for a Spanish publication. The audio was given to Hip Hop Vibe and Q the Question speaks on numerous topics with Sarah J. With discussing her industry connections and favorite artists, Kendrick Lamar and Shyne came up. Everyone from Game to ScHoolboy Q spoke on the situation and Sarah J voice her opinion, saying artists should focus on their own careers.
