Before he even dropped his album, Meek Mill established himself as a hitmaker in the rap game. As soon as he signed with Maybach Music, Meek Mill began dropping several hits. Remaining with the crew for one year, Meek Mill released hit records off his mixtape and stole the show on Self Made.
However, when 2012 arrived, Meek Mill prepared to assume his own rise to fame. In a matter of months, Meek Mill proved he could stand on his own in the national landscape. The first official single from Meek Mill was called “Amen,” featuring Drake, and it was a breakout hit, as was “Burn” with Big Sean.
During the tenth edition of his interview with Shaheem Reid, Meek Mill would discuss his singles. The songs heated up during the summer, before Meek Mill released Dreams and Nightmares. Meek Mill released the album earlier this week.
