Forward thinking is what has put 2 Chainz in the position he is in. 2 Chainz did not sign a record deal after his mixtape run. Instead, 2 Chainz entered a partnership with Def Jam for his label, The Real University. The first project released under this new partnership was Based on a T.R.U. Story, 2 Chainz’ debut.
With his album only a few months old, 2 Chainz is already focusing on his next project, planning on keeping things consistent. An honorary member of G.O.O.D. Music, 2 Chainz has watched them deliver albums yearly. Already, 2 Chainz has recorded a few tracks for his new album.
Along with his new album, 2 Chainz discussed Cap1, his up-and-coming artist, during his interview with MTV News. Those who follow Hip Hop Vibe should be familiar with Cap1 from previous articles about him. However, his mainstream debut is still set for the future and 2 Chainz recently introduced him to MTV.
