Following much speculation and a long wait, Mystikal officially launched his comeback in December 2011. Announcing his signing to Cash Money Records, Mystikal hit the ground running early in 2012. First came his “Original” single with Birdman and Lil Wayne and then came the flurry of other songs.
Mystikal was gearing up for a strong summer run when a probation violation sent him back to prison for three months. Forced to miss the summer, Mystikal released a mixtape, Origins, intended to hold things over. Back from his hiatus, Mystikal is now making moves toward his official comeback.
Every Monday, Mystikal updates his fans via “Mystikal Mondays.” On the latest edition of his series, Mystikal traveled to Miami. In addition to being Cash Money Records’ second city, behind New Orleans, it has become one of their favorite recording cities. Mystikal was there recording some of his new music.
