Coinciding with the latest round of his beef with Young Jeezy was Gucci Mane releasing his latest mixtape, Trap God. The mixtape adds to the collection of tapes and street albums released by Gucci Mane over the past seven years. Regardless of the criticism of his actual lyrical ability, Gucci Mane has proven to be one of hip hop’s better acts.
Gucci Mane has been making his media rounds, where the Young Jeezy beef was actually re-started. When Gucci Mane stopped by the offices of The Source, however, the conversation was more positive. Instead of talking about Trap God and Young Jeezy, the discussion centered around the mixtape and Gucci Mane’s new company.
Recently, Gucci Mane shot Brick Squad Films, which shot the latest Rick Ross music video and the video with Gucci Mane and Future. Whether his lyrics are accepted by all as “real” hip hop, Gucci Mane makes one thing perfectly clear, he is a businessman.
