As it appeared in 2010 and 2011, in 2008, it seemed as if Dr. Dre would finally release Detox. At the time, nine years had passed since Dr. Dre first announced the album. On the 2008 version of Detox, there were rumors of T.I., Game, Lil Wayne, and 50 Cent being featured on the album. After the 2008 release date passed with no album, discussion about Detox ended.

While Detox did not come, Dr. Dre continued working. Dr. Dre ended up reuniting with Game, mending fences with 50 Cent, and assisting Eminem in his comeback efforts. After doing all of this, Dr. Dre began working with Kendrick Lamar, helping him become a bigger star. Kendrick Lamar now has an album out and boasts having the Dr. Dre co-sign.

Lil Wayne confirmed his work with Dr. Dre was more than rumored, as did Rick Ross. During his interview with MTV News, earlier today, Lil Wayne spoke on his work with Dr. Dre. Known for making big statements, Lil Wayne made a big statement today. The Young Money captain revealed he has over ninety songs with Dr. Dre.
